Dinging Noise

Every once in awhile while im driving or just stoped at an intersection sometimes my car makes a quick ding. It sounds just like the seat belt ding if your not wearing it, except it only makes that dinging noise one time. Has this happend to anyone else or does someone maybe know what it might be? thanks..

Hi cOnRoids

Does not happen to me, but I have a diagnostic question:

Does the seatbelt warning light illuminate, when these spurious dings drop in?

Did you upgrade to 22"s wheels without the tire pressure monitors?

Unite, I think your problem is simple as tightening up the cable. Eitehr pull up on the pedal with your foot and wait until you need pads and ask the tech to do it, or I'm sure it's easy enough you could do it yourself (not sure how it's done on these cars).

Happened to me the first few days I had my car, but hasn't happened again. I thought I was kicking the park brake on the way out, but after careful observation, it was apparently a gremlin doing it.

You don't have a navigation trip going or anything do you? Mine was dinging at me on the way home from the dealership, and I think that's what it was. Although I thought the trips were reset if you turned the vehicle off.
