Drooping Side Mirror

Hey everyone, sorry I've been away for a while. I moved in with my girlfriend and been a little pre-occupied in the best possible way!

My driver's side mirror has a problem. Every morning and sometimes twice a day, my driver's door mirror droops and I have to constantly raise it up. Never sideways, just up. I know it's not anyone messing with me, it happens no matter where I park. The dealer "couldn't reproduce" of course, but it's real and still happening. Anyone else have this or heard of it?

Thanks....Bob

Now that someone has brought it up, I believe mine does the same. I keep commenting to myself, I thought I had that mirror adjusted, but now it looks low???????????

I will mention it to the dealer at service time.

Have you tried resetting your Driver 1 (or 2) setting and re-synchronizing your key fob? I had the same thing happening with my steering wheel....I would constantly adjust it to the desired position and re-set the memory. But every time I would get into the car the steering position was off again.....it finally occurred to me that it only happened when I unlocked the door with the fob.

Check in the manual for synching your fob to a memory setting. I think all you do is set the memory button then hit lock or unlock on the fob within 10 seconds.

Do you have the tilt down on reverse set? Maybe after you put the car back in drive, the mirror is not tilting back up. Just something else to look at...

I had to disable my reverse tilt feature because the mirror would not come back up fully to the original position. I have taken it to the dealer many times and they suck, still not fixed.

I wanted to bump this, because now I'm having the same symptom, only on the drivers side after coming out of reverse. Mirror will not come back to original setting.

Is there some sort of reset procedure other than resetting the key fob?

Thanks,
Tom
