Has Anyone Noticed ???

Has anyone noticed with the engine shutdown and the delayed accessory power on, the MPG computer is still active and counts down, like your sitting there idling? Which totally screws the accuracy of the damn thing. I wonder if this is the way it works or maybe I have a problem.

had not noticed this but my actual gas mileage (checking it the old fashioned way by dividing actual gallons used into miles driven) has been very close to what the computer said when I've checked it. The computer usually is a bit on the optimistic side.
