Question How many 300c SRT8s per year?

How many 300c SRT8s are built a year? I've heard numbers from 2k to 4K per year, with all being devied up between the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Also, is the engine built in Canada or Mexico?

There were only about 250 built as '05 models, I've heard anywhere from 5000 to 10,000 for subsequent years, not sure what is correct. The 5.7 hemi is built in Mexico, not sure where the 6.1 is built.....don't think it's Canada though.

Both the 5.7 Hemi engine and the 6.1 Hemi is made side by side in the same plant in Saltillo, Mexico.

Thanks for the info. The production numbers seem to be more realistic than the up to 4k that I heard about earlier. I just can't seem to find anything in the press about this. Road & Track did state Saltillo, Mex as the place of assembly of the engines for the 300c, but I wasn't sure about the SRT8 engine. Thanks again.

As kevinj mentioned only 250 2005 models were built as the model year quickly switched to 2006. For the 2006 model year, no more than 5,000 will be built. We are about 1/2 way through the model year with current 2006 totals at around 2,300 vehicles. Very few have gone to Mexico. Euro versions have not been produced yet, other than a few pilot models.

See this thread for more specific production numbers:
