Lease Help

Who here knows about leasing ?

I was wondering if lets say I got a 48 month lease & I want to trade my car in after the first year could that happen.I know I might lose cash but to be honest I dont got a problem with that as long as I dont have to come up with another down payment. For example I pay $600 a month now for my car now & wouldnt mind paying alittle month for something better but I cant see mayself putting down another down payment.I already put $6,000 for this car.

Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. I know your gonna ask why do you wanna trade your car etc & my answer is to be honest I dont like it to much.I mean dont get me wrong its a good car but for the price im paying I think I should have better. The looks on the car are great but the overall ride quality & interior sucks bigtime to me.Who knows I might aim for one of those SRT8's.I heard those are great.

BTW I own a 05 Touring with 13,000 miles on it.

I know I might have some other options such as selling the car or using one of those get out of my lease sites but are those better options ?

Trading in a leased car is no different than trading in any car that's not paid for..... you are responsible for paying off the lease and if that amount is more than the car is worth then you are "upside down" and you'll have to either come up with some cash to cover that, or roll it into the new car's financing. after only one year you are likely upside down.

So using your numbers you'd have to come up with $1525 to get out of that lease early. But whether you will get that for your trade is another story. Just remember if a dealer is giving you a trade in value that seems too good to be true, then he's just making it up on the price of the new car. Best to negotiate your best price on the new car before you tell them you have a trade in. That way they can't do any "smoke and mirror" tricks, you'll know what you are actually getting for your trade in.

hmm....well what is it about your car you don't like? .... If it was "iffy" getting approved for the 300 touring then good luck getting an SRT8 without a lot of cash down.

Well you mentioned an SRT8 in your first post. I have a 300C and my dad has a 300C-SRT8. The overall quality and fit & finish is the same for both of them ( and the touring is no different in that respect.) As for the ride, the touring rides very similar to my 300C, and the SRT8 is noticably firmer and has quicker steering, but it's not rough riding ( ok maybe a little on old sections of concrete freeway). So if your complaint about the ride on your touring is that it's too soft then maybe the SRT8 would be what you like. But if by "ride isnt' that great" you mean it's not soft enough, then you most definitely don't want an SRT8. The SRT8 has just a tad more power than your touring also.

Well if you honestly think the quality of the 300 is poor then that might be a good idea 'cuz you are definitely not gonna like anything else Chrysler makes! Your complaints are kinda vague though; I'm curious about what your complaints are regarding quality? Because while there are certainly higher quality cars out there, I'm pretty confident that none of them are anywhere near the price range of the 300 series Chryslers.
