First Post...what am I in for?

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I currently own a BMW, but am considering buying a 300 in the near future.

I relize the car is still fairly new, but is there anything I should look out for? (may be an FAQ on buying a new 300)

Well if you get a 300C or CSRT8, you should expect a lot of handling and power, comfort, etc. Take a test drive of course but there's no "gotcha" that I know of. It's just a great car.

Other drivers might be more courteous to you in the Chrysler than when you are in your Bimmer. We have a Benz ML430 as well as the new Chrysler 300CSRT8, and I find that drivers are more aggressive towards the Benz than towards the Chrysler even though the Chrysler has much better performance. It's a nice perk that comes with driving the 300. Some people may resent drivers of expensive foreign cars, and I can understand their point of view.

Then there is the up-coming Heritage edition in one fine coloration of red... a little more like the SRT8 (me thinks) without the full blown 6.1L V8, etc. Welcome from our Midnight Blue 300C in WV... we'll be looking at the pros and cons of trading for a Heritage model even though we've had our pre-owned "C" only since end Sept. Welcome to the forums. Nice looking BMW, too. I believe you will be sold on purchasing a 300, especially one with the Hemi engine, once you have taken it for a test drive. There is information all over the place on what to consider before you consider a purchase. Try posting key words in the Search feature at the top of the page. In my case, however, I was sold on looks alone and purchased the first one I ever test drove....a silver, fully loaded, 300c.

I'm not quite sold yet...gotta go for a test drive next week. If I decide to pull the trigger, I am thinking 22" staggered iforged rims and a few exterior mods (grill, chrome accents, a slight drop)

Okay you'll end up with a larger wang and Japanese car fans drooling over your car and complimenting you on your fine taste.

Happy now? Nah didn't think so. Gosh I hope I don't get in trouble for posting that.
