Talking Consider them Schooled

So I'm on my way home tonight, minding my own business, when some nice man in an M3 decides he's gonna fly by me like I'm standing still......

Hmmm, Nah, I don't think so. So I give him 3 opportunities to school me: Once as he attempts his fly by = Nope.

Once again from about 80 = Nope again.

And once more (my personal favorite) from about 65 (2nd gear) not even close!

So he departs the freeway, German tail grasped firmly between his legs, and I set cruise at 74 again, and not 2 minutes later, here comes an M3 convertible (top down). This is like De Ja Vu all over again. Only this one has a Mazda RX-8 in tow. It seems they are playing Pole Position already.

Well, what the hell!

Here we go again!

I let both of them pass me then: after giving them about a 10 car length lead.... WOT and HELLO Mr RX-8, how about a rear view mirror full of 300c? Wisely he moved over, and then exited shortly thereafter. Then a couple seconds later: HELLO (found out later) Ms. M3 Convertible. After a couple of remedial lessons of: Who's car is faster, with me being the teacher, she seemed to get spooked and started to weave through the lappers. I didn't want her to think I was stalking her so I just let her go. When I exited, there she was. I thought, Maybe some Stoplight Sweepstakes? But sadly, Johnny Law was on the road with us, so just a low speed farewell.

Oh well, just another episode of "Schooling the Uninformed or Misguided".

Hey Dan,
that's funny!
My wife has an 03 M3 convertible, I can go door to door with her with just
headers and exhaust on my C. So they are obviously no match for the SRT8.

I just Love this car, and it's a luxury comfy car too.

Great post Dan, love the Johnny Law bit, they always seem to show up just as the fun's getting juicy.
