Early Built 300c

I found a 2005 300c with 13000 miles. It has every available option and is in perfect condition. When I drove the car it pulled to the right. I started looking around on this site and found a lot of threads talking about the issues in the early built cars. I called the dealer and found out the car was built in 04/2004 so this was one of the first. I can get the car for $29,000. What do you guys think? Are these issues something a dealer will fix or should I look for a car that was built after 2005? Thanks in advance.

Shop around some more, if you don't need to have every available option, by adding a couple of grand you might be able to pickup a new one. As far as the pull to the right issue, if this is a dealership car tell them to fix it and then you'd consider it. If it's privately owned it should be under warranty, ask the seller to get the issue resolved. In both cases if they claim it's fixed drive it, if it is fixed, then make a decision.

Joe,

Thanks for your reply. It is at an independent car lot. They say it has been taken care of but is this a recurring problem?? I do want the side air bags/parking assist/sun roof/and sound group 2 or 3(whatever the good stereo is). Does the awd make a big diference in how the car drives? There arn't many of them in the south.

If it were me I would not buy one built in 04, they have to many issues. Find a stripped down 06 and you can probably get it for around 33K and save yourself the many trips to the dealer. I mean the dealer will fix it but who wants to live at the dealer.

Hi my 300c was built 03/04 and 30k hard miles... main reason for the pull towards the right are .. TIRES you have make sure they are properly inflated. True that this problem has been noted on the forums before but I have not seen it surface for a long time. $29,000 is a good price wouldn't sell mine at that price I still love my C and my personal modifications ( IT FITS LIKE A GLOVE )

As far as the AWD, I've never driven the RWD version of a 300C. I didn't even consider the RWD version. I've had other cars that flirted with 300 horsepower at the rear wheels with traction control. I've had trouble in the snow with those especially on inclines and out of city limits. The AWD C handled great during the blizzard we had here in NYC recently.

I agree with GEN XER's comments, thats good advice.

Joe

Are you alluding to the fact that this particular car is also an AWD model?
