Even longer, its been on some Lexus models since at least 2002, maybe even earlier. Looks like the park assist sensors on the back of the 300, only in the front.

Adaptive Cruise Control has been available on high end Mercedes Benz models for several years now. I believe that MB invented it. Looks like the cost has finally come down to the point that it can be installed on cars in the near luxury class. Personally, they can keep the turn signals in the mirrors and give me a voice programable Nav system that I can program while moving. I would also consider cooled seats instead of the turn signal mirrors. This should be cost effective since Buick now has them in some models, and high end cars have had them for years.

I'm all for the voice command features, and the cooled seats. It is pretty cool to say "Nearby Gas Stations", and the closest five pop up on the screen, you say "2", and you are routed immediately.

The adaptive cruise control, is neat, but gets a little tiresome. You can adjust the "sonar range" which is the distance between you and the car in front of you, but be ready when some jerk-off jumps in your lane all of a sudden. It is the equivalent of dropping the flaps and engaging the dive brake in the midst of a high speed maneuver. It's good to have seat belt pre-tensioners.

Heh this shows what I know about options. Notice that my car's a "stripper" ... as stripped as a CSRT8 can get, which is NOT VERY.

I am wondering if these options will be added as after market options.

I'd like the turn signal mirrors, and the parkview.

If I could add the other options would be great for the value of the car, but doubt I would ever use them.

The signal mirrors will be easy to install and wire. Assuming that the nav unit is still the same then the parkview will be a easy install too, someone has to figure out how to activate the camera once the car is in reverse.

"REC nav ParkView rear back-up camera system (?)"

Think the SRT-8 version has one for the FRONT and back?
