No. Don't have a production number. But my guess is something between 3500 and 5000.

Where are those new guys with the Heritages? They've all received the "suggestion" from me to chime in here... I'm starting to get a complex! LOL

Do you really think that many? That seems a lot higher than I would have guessed. I have never seen a heritage edition around here, except mine. Perhaps just wishful thinking on my part. I was expecting a # closer to 1,000. Then again I havn't done a whole lot of research, or any for that matter.

Well, I think the original projection was for 5000, some certainly were produced on "speculation" rather than hard orders. My local dealer got two more because they were sure they would sell after they saw how gorgeous mine was... but they are still sitting on the lot, and my salesman told me recently they probably will "deal" them to some other dealer. Just too bad because they are the car to have IMO vs. the regular C, if you don't want to go all the way to the SRT8!

Totally agree. I was at the pump the other day filling up and this guy walks up and starts talking to me about my 300. He also has the 300, but hte Limited model. He was saying that the HE looks so much better than the standard 'C' and he has only seen one other HE on the road and it was the Inferno Red. There is something to be said about having a unique ride, and ours definitely falls under that category!

"but they are still sitting on the lot"

Anybody know the reason why they are not selling? I am looking at a fully loaded IR HE. Again it has been sitting for over 90 days. Any thoughts?

Gentile... wow it took you over two months to quit driving long enough to post your info! LOL

Polara... there's an IR H.E. on my dealer's lot, but I don't think it's as loaded as the one we ordered. I can check it out tomorrow if you want to know.

I think the reason they're not selling is that the middle east crisis and impact on gas prices has the "common" person scared and they will "settle" for less power and a little better mileage and something less expensive than these brand new V8s... they just don't understand how much better they are than the V8s they remember, both in power and in fuel economy.

Worse yet... some are thinking hybrid is the way to go, and just haven't calculated that they don't save anything by the time they pay "extra" for the fact it's a new tech hybrid that they probably won't keep long enough to net a savings.

Today we welcome espop125 to the list as a new Heritage owner... AND... he's from WV! Yeah! Although... I must say I'm now officially upset that I'm not the ONLY Inferno Red H.E. in the state. Grrr.

just kidding espop125! WELCOME!

Arrow My 1st Post

I thought it would be appropriate to make my 1st post in this thread. After my big promotion at work - it was time for a new car for the new VP. My choices were the 300c and the Charger R/T "Road & Track". Basically the same vehicle - so it was down to Luxury (300c) or Muscle/Performance (Charger). After my test drives and research, I decided on the 300c Heritage Edition for my car. The SRT seats and all the Chrome extras in the HE really make a BIG difference.

I wanted all the Bling, so I got a fully loaded HE with everything except the back seat DVD player. In Phoenix, AZ, the only dealership that seemed to carry the HE was in North Scottsdale (our version of Beverly Hills). I got this during the "Employee Pricing", so it was about $3,500 off MSRP sticker of $40,105. I really love the Navigation system and the Information Cluster between the tachs. The better Boston sound system with subwoofer rocks (a must). My previous car was an Intriped R/T with over 103,000 miles. I drive 85 miles (round-trip) to work everyday. I just got ceramic tinting, as in the PHX heat - it's a must. The ride is smooth and and I love the HEMI. The uConnect features was a pleasent surprise with my Treo650. The bluetooth sounds so much better through the stereo system. My wife really noticed a difference in this bluetooth, as she HATED my previous bluetooth headset.

The only downside: I prefer XM (subscriber since XM launched) over Siruis, but I guess I'll get used to it. No iPod input jacks with the Nav system.

I've already put a 1,000 miles on this bad boy in less than 3 weeks. I absolutly LOVE this car.

Here's my info for "The List". So...show me the secret handshake and give me the keys to the executive bathroom

Welcome Kenwood to the wonderful world of H.E. ownership! May you enjoy your ride for a very long time.

We got ours in March and have 10.3k+ on it now due, in part, to a 7k mile 3-week vacation a month later.

Thanks for making your first post right here in this thread and introducing us to your initial reactions to the H.E. I couldn't agree with you more. You can buy an iPod RF modulator (tuneable) and your tunes will come right through your system... this is what we did.

I'll be updating the list shortly... you've already got the keys. Oh... and CONGRATS on whatever the BIG promotion was!
