Being a 300C owner and a 69 Charger owner, I have a pension for Moapr muscle. I have to say, I saw it in Detroit and in Dallas, this is the real deal. Please DCX, make it come true. It is unbelieveable in person......IF THEY BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's probably heresy, but the 69 is gone if I can score one of these.............................

The first stop was a Hot Rod hang out in Huntington Beach. These guys are hard core old school Hot Rodder’s. When the car pulled in the place went silent. People couldn’t believe their eyes. From there we went to Crystal Cove in Newport Beach. On the way there the car pulled over to wait for the group (media) and Newport’s finest stopped and was just blown away. Needsless to say what a morning. Here are some photos.

They wouldn't even let us get near it at the NY Auto show. Took some pics, but that was it.

Here is just a quick recap of Saturday. We arrive at Donuts Derelicts at about 6:15am. When I get out of my car, a guy standing in front of my car says good morning and ‘It’s about time there’s a bitchin 4 door on the market”. At about 6:30am the Challenger rolls in and the crowd responds in ah. They make a roll through the parking lot and people are just following the cars every move. Once the car parks the cell phone calls start, with “you need to get down here right now”. Then the cameras started as the crowd just couldn’t believe that a car maker had a concept car on the street. There where a lot of positive comments being said. We had Mike (exterior designer) and Alan (interior designer) there answering questions for the crowd. DCX did a great job managing the preview and just letting it be real. We finally made our way to Crystal Cove as the crowd there was waiting patiently. On the way to Crystal Cove the Challenger pulled into a parking lot to wait for the other cars. As we past the Challenger I noticed Newport PD standing by the car. The officer noticed the car and just wanted to see it. We headed back down PCH just to see people pointing and stopping as we drove by. When we arrived at Crystal Cove it was just off the hook. People went crazy to see the car. The reception there was unbelievable. Chip Foose was also there and he talked with the designers. This was just an amazing event and true to DCX and wanting to hear from the people.
