I bought Aftermarket rims knowing the bolt pattern is 5x114.3(5x4.5) thats what the rims are but they get stuck half way down the bolts???? any idea why this might happen?
any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

The correct bolt pattern for our 300s is 5x115. Not 5x114.3. Now some say that 4x114.3 will fit, and most of the time they do, but yours apparently do not. Even if they did go on all the way there is still an issue with that.

Usually when the 5x114.3 wheels are installed they will go on, but the flange in the bolt holes does not line up perfectly with the taper on the lug nuts. The first nut that you tighten seats properly, but as it does it pulls the remaining holes slightly out of position. When you tighten the remaining lug nuts it puts stress on the lugs, which is not so good.

In your case it sounds as if the tolerance of the hole spacing may be slightly smaller that 5x114.3. This wouldn't be a problem necessarily if your pattern was actually 5x114.3, but it does seem to be a problem for 5x115.

I would send them back, if you can, and get the wheels in the correct size bolt pattern for our cars, which is 5x115.
