Does anyone know....(employee pricing)

Does anyone know if Chrysler pays the individual dealership for the difference in MSRP and the employee pricing or does the dealership just "eat" the lost revenue? The reason I'm asking is some guys have posted about some great deals they have been offered (before the employee pricing started) and I wonder if now they could go back and make an even better deal because of the additional discounts. If Chrysler is covering the employee pricing discounts then I would think they could. If the dealership is not getting compensated by Chrylser the employee pricing deal would probably not result in a better price for the car. Just curious.....

no they don't pay the difference of MSRP. DCX pays a precent of the employee price. Its a very very small percent so don't be surprised if dealers won't even honour it.

I know this because out of 120+ cars we sell a month 119 of them are employee discount. (That is every month)

That kind of sucks for the dealerships. So I guess if you've been offered a great deal before the employee pricing you probably aren't going to do any better trying to buy the same car using the employee pricing promotion.

it will help sell more cars though. They might make less money per car but dealerships will do more volume. Doesn't help us since our dealership is in an employee town where 90% of DCX buyers get the discount already.

Steve, have you done any calculations how much we're saving, say on an SRT8 with the GST now being 6%?

employee pricing

I got my 300 with my brother's employee price. He told me that he gets 3-4% below invoice on all DMC "American" branded cars. His merc discount is something like 12% below MSRP. As a data point, I bought my 300 in early May the sticker was 30,150 and with the discount I paid around 27,300.

I'm thinking those new Caliber's are really going to start flying off the lots now. That's one hot selling car.

Calibers aren't included. They can't even keep up with production now. There is only a 11 day supply for Calibers. Right now the wait time for one is around 12 weeks.

The percent that you save varies per car.
