Foglights ON Headlights OFF

How is it possible to turn on your foglights without the headlights being on? I can't seem to make my 300 work with me on this issue :lol

You can't. Fog lights are designed to be on with headlights or at least parking lights only.

Vigher,

I'm with you. I'd like a fog only option too.

"Can't" just doesn't sit well with me. You can it's just going to take a little work. A strap here, a relay there and whalla!

The question is: Does anyone out there have a wiring schematic of our platform?, and are they willing to spell out how to do it.

They should of made it so the fog lights could go on without putting on the head lights.

I believe it is a law DOT (Dept. of Transportation) that the auto manufact. have it wired the way it is OEM.

Parking lights on. Fogs can enable.

Headlights on. Fogs can enable.

Hit the High beams. Fogs turn off.

I do not know if it is the same for the rest of the U.S. But in Texas we can not have more than 4 lights on at any given time. Headlights, fogs, driving lights. Any combination. Just as long as no more than 4 are on. Parking lights do not count.

So if you do decide to wire your own on/off switch for the fogs to run when you want them on. Be careful if you hit your brights. You will be running 6 lights. That is why the OEM way they are wired. The fogs go off when you hit your brights.
