Autostick Problem

Does any body have an autostick problem with the 300c. When I accererate hard my autostick will not shift under my command. It ingors my shift commands and shifts automatically. This is very furtrating to me!!! The dealership insists that this is the way the autostick works. Is this true? They say that there aren't any flash updtaes to correct this issue. My son has a Charger RT and his auotsick shifts under user command all the time regardless of accerleation. Please help to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Gates

is the R/T a 6.1L? I posted a similar question a while back and was told that the autostick functions this way to a certain degree. It takes some time to shift after you tell it too.

I resolved the problem by installing a JET chip, now it seems to work 100% better, and shifts faster at my command, but there is still a lag.

the 6.1L HEMI's are different, I know that the SRT8 models behave more like a BMW M3 - M5 "sportronic" transmission, and the SRT8's you can fully disable the ESP on the 5.7L HEMI's you can't.

The stock autostick does indeed "auto" shift. You can remove this "feature" with the SuperChips by setting it to paddle-hold mode. Also makes the shifts much smoother and quicker too. IMO, one of the best mods to date for the buck for the 5.7C.

The system will 'listen' to your commands, but will ignore them when they make no sense. Do this little test, but the car in 'manual' first gear and drive off. As soon as the RPM go above what is sensible, the car will go to second without you commanding it.

So in the paddle hold mode the 300C will shift on command? Does it still have a failsafe **** point with the superchip?
Thanks

It will stay in gear until it hits the redline limiter and drop back or until you shift it. In theory, you could bounce off the limiter in a single gear all day until the tranny/engine finally went *poof* or you shifted gears.

Thank you for your help! It looks like the superchip will solve my shifting problem.
Thanks,

My pleasure. Be sure to check with our site sponsors for some better than advertised pricing on it! I, myself, got mine from Tbyrne who I know still sells em as do a few other vendors I'm sure. The torque management is well worth it not to mention addressing your shifting woes.
