Are you brand loyal?

Ive been on a few message boards b/t my cars and my bikes I had. On the caddy forums, for the most part the people will argue Cadillac till death. I knew from the day that I saw the 07 Escalade I would not be buying another one, cause it was ugly, didnt matter who made it, it was fugly. On the gixxer forums, they will argue anything suzuki no matter what, just like over at the caddy forums. So i was just wondering how many people on here are brand loyal to the brand they have. I personally could care less about the brand, if its hot I want it. I never thought Id buy a Chrysler, until I saw the 300's, they are the newest hotness. I personally think its stupid to be brand loyal unless you work for them or are getting paid by them. As with all car/bike companies, they are going to make things you dont like, no reason to defend them just b/c you have one. So, are you brand loyal or not?

I'm not brand loyal. I nver have been. I've owned all different makes and models of cars. These days, I love the Chrysler/Dodge cars, especially the SRT8s, because of their great value/performance. The 300C, Charger, and Magnum are all home runs, in my opinion. I've got a wife and 2 kids, and I'm a car guy. I can fit my whole family into every one of those cars, and have fun driving. And most importantly, my wife approves.

I was a toyato loyal car owner and all my family too. I never, ever thought about owning a Chrysler, till the 300c came out I felt in love and hard...just had to get it...and I did 2 years after they came out but I did. I am happy so FAR knock on wood, hope to have for a long time.

Ford Country Sedan
Chrysler Plymouth Valiant
Audi Super 90
Toyota Celica
Toyota Tercel
Mazda 626 Turbo liftback (still own)
Pontiac Bonneville SSEI
Chrysler 300C

No brand loyalty here.
All the cars I have owned have been good except for two. In it's death throes, the Audi was using a quart of oil a day due to failing valve guides. The Toyota Tercel was gutless. I hated that car.

I'm kinda brand loyal... as I tend to trust brands that have done well by me in the past....

Hence being said, I will never buy another FURD product based on multiple bad experiences with them.... so far Chrysler/Dodge have stayed on my "good side".

But in saying that, I won't say that I'd never buy another brand vehicle... however I know what I'm NOT gonna buy.

Got 185,000 miles of flawless work from my 94` Concord 3.5L. Felt guilty for trading it in for the 300c. Well, guilty for about 1 day Been sold on Chrysler ever since about 96` when I realized any car that can handle my hard driving is a good car

This Chrysler is my first non-Lexus in 12 years. When I saw some of these 300's on the road, I gotta say that I fell in love with the looks of the car. But common sense reminded me that they were Chryslers which I vowed a long time ago that I would never own due to being cheap flimsily built cars. I then did a lot of research on the car and learned that most auto experts considered the 300 5.7 the best American sedan ever built and very reliable. I never expected to see Chrysler and reliable mentioned in the same sentence. I then drove a couple of them "5.7 and 6.1" and noticed that they seemed like very solidly built cars. They even passed the solid "door close" and "no rattle" tests. These cars have a definite Benz feel to them. My only real disappointment so far, after 5000 miles is the transmission's reluctance to upshift when it should and the long delay in downshifting on passing. I think that once the trans bugs are worked out, this car will seem almost Toyota like as far as being solid over all.

That said, even though I really like my 300, I will probably go back to Lexus for the upcoming LS460. There is good reason why Lexus owners are the most loyal of all car buyers. Their product is 2nd to none and their owners know it.

Since I only drove Fords until my walk onto the “Dark Side” began I guess I was pretty brand loyal. If someone said something about one of my T-Birds or Lincoln LS I would readily defend them. If someone would have told me a few years ago that I would be driving not one but two DCX vehicles I would have laughed in their faces. I now find my self defending my DCX babies……against people that are ignorant of how radically the brand has changed from the past. I feel they are uneducated about what a proper car is all about. Can I help it that I have to RAM that education home once in awhile?
