300 srt8 or charger srt8

Hi everyone, i was thinking about an srt8. The thing is i'm a 300 v6 driver, so i'm used to have quite good control on the car. So i'm wondering, with an srt8, how the the car handle? i mean, is it easy to control the acceleration because of the great power? hope you people understand what i mean!thanks !

Have you ever driven a V8 on a daily basis? They’ve got tons of power and tons of torque. If you’re not used to having your neck snap back into the seat at the touch of the gas……..you may want to take it easy until you get used to it. Depends on what your level of experience is.
Now your post title would seem to infer that you’re trying to decide between a 300 SRT8 and a Charger SRT8. Again, it comes down to aesthetics and the type of look you’re wanting. Both are awesome vehicles. The 300 SRT8 is more refined with extra luxury goodies not available on the Charger SRT8. The Charger on the other hand presents itself as more of a bad azzz looking beast. Both are amazing, up to personal preference.
Hope my ramblings have help.

My dealership won't test drive SRT-8s. They keep them cherry for their original owners - ME!

That's weird, I test drove a 5.7 and the 6.1 V8 before I bought my car. Are there other dealers in your area that you can go to?

As far as what to get, a 300 or a Charger, all I can do is share my experiene. When I first went to my dealer, I was actually planning on test driving a Charger. I was considering getting an Impala or a Charger. But when I saw the 300, I knew that was the car for me. I think the 300C (and SRT8) is the first car to successfully combine the sport car feel with the luxury car comfort. When I test drove both the Charger and 300 V8 models, I found the rides to be pretty much the same. I had a salesman in the passanger seat so when I say that the rides where pretty much the same, I mean for normal street/freeway driving. Before I purchased my 300C, I test drove a V6, 5.7 V8 and the SRT 6.1 V8, I did find a BIG difference between the V6 and the 5.7 V8, not that much between the 5.7 and the 6.1. Again, that was my experience under normal (for me) street driving conditions (SRT owners don't flame me or send me all the tech info on the SRT, belive me, I read them before I made my choice). When you do get your hands on a V8, I think you'll be impressed.

After driving the Charger and 300, I liked the larger interior room, trunk and just overall look of the 300C. Based on the sales numbers posted earlier in this forum, it looks like more people prefer the look of the Charger, that's okay with me though. I feel like us 300 owners are in on a little known secret.

That'd be a tough question to answer. It really all depends on what you're looking for out of it. From what I gather they are basically identical beasts, but the 300C boasts more luxurious acomodations while the charger offers a don't F**K with me type prowess. At this point I don't know which way I would go as I think both cars are simply Awesome

I have the 3.5. I wish I had the money to get the V8. I liked to know the tech info in the "ride" difference. Not just power, I know that part. Mainly can I take out my V6 and put in a V8 and it would be the same ride as the Cs?

[edit] Also change the rear end.
