Man, how I LOVE all this torque!!!

One of my favorite things to do while cruising down the road is to Auto-Stick her down into 3rd at around 70 mph (around 3500 rpm) and repeatedly goose the throttle and just thrill like a child as I watch the front end of my 4200 lb obsession bounce up and down up AT 70 MPH!!!

It's also a great way to get slow drivers out of your way or to pick a fight with the faster ones !!! Can you imagine cruising at 70, having a huge beast coming up behind only to look in your rear view mirror and see the nose lifting as they goose the throttle?

Anyone else share the madness??

Can't say that I've done that, but I do know that 3rd at 70 is a good part of the power band! The H.E. doesn't shift out of third in autostick and WOT until over 100 mph (ahem.... so I've been told).

No doubt these cars are so cool and fast to boot. The H.E. are even cooler!

I do the same thing, Bob. Shifts to 4th at about 120, if I remember correctly(been 7 months since I drove her). Finally got the flashpaq, now some speed rated tires and I can hang with the big guys when I get home.

Of course i have a habit of doing the same torque trick in 1st behind Citroen's.

Yup, I'm with you both. I'm only getting 11mpg but it doesn't bother me now since I don't check. Hahaha. I gas up every 3 days or so.
