Bolt on Grill Installation

Hey guys I have a 300c that’s leased I want to buy a bolt on grill however I will be returning the car in about a year. My question is with the bolt on grill do you have to drill holes in the stock grill?

What you want is an "Easy Install bolt on with no drilling..." grill.

These types generally install directly over the factory grill (but don't look as good in my opinion).

Some bolt on grilles do require some drilling (like the E & G Classics grille)

Bolt-on, or overlay, grills should not require drilling.

I have been experimenting with cheap bolt-ons. Pics below.
More info is on this thread. http://www.300cforums.com/forums/ext...=bolt+on+grill

The horizontal grill cost $98 ($89 + $9 shipping) and has four long bolts that extend through the OEM grill. There is a long rectangular washer that slides over the bolt from the inside of the grill, which is tightened with a regular washer/nut.

The vertical grill cost $69 ($25 plus $44 shipping) and has five hooks that hook onto the OEM grill, and is tightened with screws. However, the grill was not designed correctly and the 2 bottom hooks can not be hooked to the grill because of the foam/rubber insert behind the bumper. But the grill can still be installed with the 2 upper hooks and 1 center hook.
