Looking at buying a light flood damaged 300c. Motor ribs and is quiet and I plan on flushing trans and rear diff just in case. The questions I have is the power seat motors for moving the seat forward and back don't work on either side which could be because of water getting to them and also the power tilt for steering wheel doesn't work. Any suggestions on what could cause these to not work if it's not flood related?
Have you checked the fuses? Check the owners manual for location. If you don't have access to it yet, you can always download one from the Chrysler site for free.
I'm going to run back out there tomorrow and look at the circuit breakers just to get an idea. If those are good, would you think then it's the seat motors? Water did get into the inside but were not sure how far. So far everything inside the vehicle works other than the tilt/telescope steering wheel. Both front seats go up/down, the seat back tilts forward/tilt back. Just not forward/back
Run, don't walk AWAY from a flood-damaged car! You'll be fixing stuff until the day you send it to the crusher. Some states won't let you register a "salvage" vehicle.
Ok I was wrong. Passenger seat does everything except move the whole seat forward and back. The drivers seat doesn't do anything. I swapped out the circuit breakers and nothing changed.
