Lightbulb How Do U Remove Top Engine Cover - 5.7L

I am going to mod my engine cover, but I would like to know how to remove it safely. I am going to paint the Gray part the same as the car exterior, beautiful Magnesium. Can anyone help me ? Thanks, in advance.

Very good advice. The first time I did a party trick and pulled the thing off HEMI 57 I was sweating on getting it to pop back on.

I used some spray Silicon shots and hit the tops of the studs and the cups to make the popping on and off easy.

You better hope so.
When I took my cover off to paint it and then I went to replace it, it went on good, but after, I noticed that the engine cover was touching the hood roof.
I didnt know what to do.
Ernie from Avon told me to use silicone, or the Black Magic tire wet and I did and it snapped right in.

Mag300, dont forget to do this, or your paint till rub and look bad.
