Something for you tailgaters with VES systems and wireless access but no Sling Box

I just wanted to share a piece of software, TVUplayer, that we use for tailgating since it's college football season... Especially if you don't have sling box attached to your tv back home or a dish. You can get ESPN, ESPN2... And so forth. Just attach the laptop to your VES. Picture quality is OK on smaller screens...

Or you can just use it when you can't access a TV but have internet access. Did I mention, its FREEware...

http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/index.htm

Off to Austin to see all the hype... Have a great weekend, and may your team win this weekend -- since mine isn't playing this week.

On all my systems with Xp it runs fine; we did notice some issues on a few Windows 2000 machines at work when we used it for the World Cup. We're out here tailgating in Austin. Here's what it looks like on one of our screens using a wireless interent connection...

I thought VES was Video Entertainment System? As in the optional rear video entertainment system available on our cars?

All I know is that I can now watch TV while at work. Too cool. Now I just need to find a way to plug the xbox into my laptop so I dont need to buy a whole TV for the office to.

TVUPlayer

The newest version did not work. However, I downloaded the older version 1.5.12 and I'm watching ESPN on my computer.

It should be noted that the legality of these suckers is kinda questionable so use it at your own risk Otherwise, nice find.
