Sunroof Rattle

I had the common sunroof rattle. The dealer replaced the sunroof and it fixed the problem for a while. It is now rattling again. Has this happened to anyone else?

I had the rattle too but my dealer didn't replace the sunroof. I don't know what they did to fix it, but I believe there is a TSB for it. Hasn't rattled since (about 5-6 months ago)

I would definitely take it back as that is a well known TSB. Just for kicks I did a search on this problem. Found just a few things on it……and I could have sworn that a member posted that their entire sun roof blew out on the interstate. Hope you're able to get it fixed soon. Good luck!

About a year ago I had a rattle on the passenger side that was fixed by the dealer. But about 2 months ago the same rattle returned and I had the dealer fix it again. It was the same rattle and I could create the clicking/rattle by tapping/pushing on the aluminum rail on the passenger side closest to the windshield.

It's Fixed!

I printed and took the TSB in to Bankston Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Frisco, TX. They had not seen it but agreed to try it. Guess what? It worked! I have been rattle free for about 3 or 4 days. Hopefully it will continue. They also fixed a problem I had with the air bag warning light as well.

I too had this problem and told DC about it many months ago. It really drove me crazy having to listen to that noise and found myself clenching my teeth after around 1hr of driving. It took them 2 times looking at it and then 2 months later to get the "special" glue in to fix it. Now it is a pleasure to drive once again.
