Hello,
About two years ago I got distracted and I hit the front of my 300C SRT8 '08 (I know, keep eyes on the road my bad). Short story, just a little bit of paint off the bumper and I tough I was lucky. Couple of weeks later I tried to engage cruise control and it started to behave strange and then the "ACC unavailabe" appear. In the next gas station I check the sensor and it was broke in the base. Days later I took the car to the dealer and check the cost to fix or replace it $1600.00 dlls DAMN!!!
After this my I started to look for an used sensor (very rare). About a month ago I found one and risk to buy it ($300.00) I do know that it's not a plug and play sensor and requieres to be configured. I went to the dealer and explain them that I want it to be configured and left. Later they called and told me that the sensor has different VIN number and that was making the conflict and they cannot do anything, I need a new one.
I believe they want to make me pay for a new one. They could read the sensor but probably not want to configure it. Is there anybody in Houston area that could give a try to configure it. I'll pay for it of course.
Thanks and have a good day!
