Im a little confused???

I went and seen Dave at B&G Chrysler today to get my 06 300c tuned. After getting the tune he told me it did these following uogrades to the ECM. Raised rev limiter, got rid of MDS, added timing ,raised idle and also got rid of tq management. What im confused about is, He said it raised REV LIMITER but DID NOT raise shift points due to him not being able to get inside of the trans comuter as of yet. He told me to be careful not to hit rev limiter because it could throw a code in the computer. How can you hit the rev limiter if the car shifts itself at redline no matter if its in autostick or (D). THis car is like my old VETTE, if yo leave it it 1st gear it will shift by itself. How could you hit the revlimiter????? Also how does rasing the rev limter do anything if you dont change the shift points???? Wont the car still shift at its STOCK shift point?????????? Pleae help me out!!!!!

I would think Dave would be your best source of advice.

Very good question! Maybe he means if you notice it lagging and not shifting back out of the gas so it doesn't go into redline. I would just keep an eye on the rpms and see how it behaves.

Not sure what you mean. If your asking did I over rev in auto stick and hit rev limiter??? If that is what your asking, the answer is NO. In a 5.7 300 it shifts by computer no matter if it's in DRIVE or autostick. The SRT-8 you can hold it in 1st gear and take it to redline and shift it yourself, the srt8 WILL NOT shift on its own, you have to shift out of 1st or it will bounce off the limiter. Thats why I did'nt understand why he raied limiter in my car. It doesnt do anything at all. I think that is so stupid that chrysler has it like that. why even have autostick if it shfts just like it does in drive??? Guess it's a way to stop people from BREAKING the motor or tans. Oh well........... Just have to wait and see if dave will be able to change the trans cal sooner or later!!!!! Thanks for all your help guys!!!!!!!! I love everything about this car but that!!! Guss I did'nt buy a race car!!! It just sucks if you run up agiant a STICK car from a roll they will more than 90% of the time walk away from you due to the VERY,VERY BAD LAG this car has when you stab it and it down shifts!!!

The flashpaq does indeed allow you to change the transmission shift points if you wish, and also to reduce torque management which gets rid of those sloppy slushy shifts, at least for the '05 and '06 ECM's so I would assume it will include the same features when they have an update for yours. Makes the autostick work properly too. You can set it up to upshift at redline OR you can set it up where it will not shiift until ou shift it, like the SRT8. Also gives you the ability to select "5th" in autostick like the SRT8. The transmission changes were the reason I bought the flashpaq, without those features it would not have been worth the money to me.

Seems like the guy at flashpac didnt understand what I was asking him. After asking another tech I got the same answer you just gave me. It will change shiftpoints, autostick and rev limiter. Thanks for your help. The bad thing is even this guy said my computer code is a 2007 not 2006. That sucks. Could be 6 month before its ready!!!
