SRT owners: does anyone lease?

I currently have a 300C. Car is for sale as I am going to get the SRT. The dealer here has a kick ass lease deal. (I think) for an 06 SRT its $4,000 down, plus tag title and license, $396 per mo. 10K miles per year. What do you guys think? Is this a good deal or am i better off buying?

Is that for a new SRT? That lease sounds too good to be true... for comparison, BMW has a special lease offer on the 335i which is comparable in price to the SRT8 - $3579 down and $529 a month... and thats a special offer.

How many months is the lease on the SRT for?

Personally the only time I did the lease thing they came back and bit me in the azz on the mileage. I couldn’t have a lease with that low mileage amount. If you’re planning to mod the vehicle that is also another consideration. Doesn’t look bad otherwise. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply guys, the lease runs for 27 months. Almost perfect for me, I usually only keep a car for about a year, so this will be a little longer but I'm sure i'll love the car. sounds like this is a good deal, besides the mileage. i think im going to negotiate on the mileage per year and see what i can get. I'm also not planning on modding it out, just tinting the windows. Thanks again.

Up here in Canada, 48 months, 5000 down and 968/month 24,000 km per year with 12cents per km above that , 19460 buy out at end of time. I should have about 250,000 km on it by then, will make a good second car at least that is what my 15 and 14 year old sons are saying.

Sounds like a good deal. Check to see what the turn-in fee is though. A lot of car makers have been running attractive leases with very high fees when you turn the car back in. These fees are often waived if you sign a new lease when you turn the car in, but if you don't lease a new car they'll stick you for severl hundred bucks or more.

Sounds like a good deal to. I'd lease, but I put too many miles on my car each year, over 12K.

A buddy of mine leased a Crossfire a couple of years ago at 10K per year 24 months and has to go easy on it now because he is so close to going over. When the lease is up in January he's going to buy either a SRT8 Charger or 300. Seeing my car has converted him, that and I guess the service sucks on those cars. Too bad cause they look good.

I'm leaseing my SRT8. I'm paying $500/mo with $2,000 out of pocket. 39 months, 10K/yr. I actually put an additional $4,500 down to get out of a Crossfire lease. My wife and I leased it last June, and found out in August we were expecting daughter number 3. I dragged out a 2 seater for as long as possible, but wanted to move on the big car before the snow started flying.
