MFO5 Reflection

What an exhausting week it was for our MFO5 dedicated volunteers who graciously sacrificed so much time, knowledge and effort to make this event a huge success regardless of the anticipated results that will eventually be analyzed, evaluated and eventually posted.

I was honored to loan my bone stock 300c to the cause even though I couldn’t be there in person. However, having it all shared on the webcam with the rest of the world was an experience I will not soon forget.

Anyway, my 2005 300c entered the MFO5 stock and came home with the Frankentake III. The rumble is absolutely incredible and well-worth the less than $200.00 I spent. Now, the hugely successful Air Hammer CAI is out of this world! More costly, BUT, it’s the only one that truly delivered in HP and you might want to consider ear plugs for the sound (j/k)! Being able to see and hear it in person inside Meister’s engine bay will make anyone a believer!

Thanks to the mastermind, Cool Vanilla, all LX members and support teams who made this event possible. Can’t wait to see what’s on the planning board for MFO6!

A very special thank you to the other mastermind, Matt Robertson, for everything you did for me and to Meister and Meister Jr. for deviating from their planned itinerary to assist in getting my vehicle returned to Fresno. It was an enjoyable honor to meet you in person!

Ciao!
bruno

Here's my reflection on MF05:

I, my wife, and my daughter drove from Reno to Sacramento on Friday afternoon. Arrived at the Raddisson at 4:00 pm. At 4:02 pm, had a Mitsubishi Montero backup into my new SRT8...broken billet grille, broken headlight assembly, dinged and scratched front fascia, bent hood. Pretty nice.

Went to the Sacramento Raceway and watched from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Enjoyed the 4 300's, 4 Magnums, and 1 Charger. Yes, that black SRT8 was fast!

Got up early Saturday morning and cleaned my broken car real nice...ready to show & shine, meet & greet at 10:00 am to 12 noon per the published schedule. Looked around, waited around until 11:00 am...no sign of activity...no roped off area...Raddisson staff knew nothing about it...what the hey?

Screw it...blew off our $45 for lunch (we didn't drive to Sacto just so we could eat)...went home perplexed and perturbed.

By the way, it was Friday, the 13th.

I thank you for that very kind mention, Bruno! I was more than blown away by the thoroughness and intensity and strictness of the testing! I myself owe a great debt of thanks to:

Matt Robertson
Jason and Joyce Van Curen
Jim and Mike Edwards
SVS Dyno
MAgnumFreak
RobAGD and everyone that made MFO5 a reality!
Thank you all!!

Sorry to hear that. I was at the track about the same time you where. I know how you feel. I think this was more of a 5.7 party.

Congratulations on being a beta tester/mule for the only CAI to show hp gains. Thanks for sharing so everyone may benefit.
