Weird headlights

This morning i drive off, autolamps in the auto position, but it was lightly dark and the windows were kinda foggy. So my auto headlights were on (HID's on, fogs on). I pull up to the store and i noticed that not only are my normal headlights on, my daytime runninglights are on too!!

So I apply the aprking brake, and then the daytime as expected turns off, but the headlights are still on. I shut down the car and restart it, and now only the headlights turn on but no daytime (normal operation). I dont know what happened tehre, but it was quite weird.

Add that to the list of weird electrical gremlins with this car, all minor but weird:
1. Power windows: sometimes works sometimes doesnt, sometimes auto up works sometimes doesnt.
2. Power sunroof: sometimes doesnt close automagically.
3. SRS ligths came on, stayed on for 3 times then turned off, no codes, dealer indicated no issues.
4. Nav display: Sometimes comes up blank, this morning, on the NAG screen, i pushed enter but nothing happened, no change, i turned it on and off, and it works fine.. Weird.

These electrical gremlins have happened to many members especially the windows. There is a current thread about this now (I think you posted in it) As long as the gremlins go away celebrate, but it does aggravate.

I can remember similar "random" electrical problems being reported on another thread - turned out to be a loose ground connection (battery/chassis). Worth checking.

Speaking of issues.
Has anyone had issues with the service reminders in the Nav?
I program my oil change and tire rotation in there and don't get alerted sometimes. Anyone else have that issue?

Well my NAV keeps saying cannot read DVD.. but much to my 300C's defense,

i dont really care, i only take the car back only if an oil change is required, and thats it. whether they fix it or not at the oil change i could care less. None of these issues worry me at all..

The car is a lease, and i treat it as such.. LOL... I still love my car... but its very different from all the imports I have owned. BUt surely cant be worse than my dads old E-class!! GOD that was a nightmare!

I had this issue once with my original AB disc. My tire rotation and oil change alerts went away, but the timers kept ticking. Then when I upgraded to AC (firmware update included), I got both alerts upon starting the car (they had already been reset and were not at the threshold again yet). The alerts must have been stuck in a queue or something, and the firmware update bumped them out. I haven't had the issue since.
