In need of tech support

Im in the process of adding the factory remote start....

You have to disconnect the battery for the install....

Im having a buddy with mechanical experience do it, however he has minimal experience with LX vehicles....

With that being said, what EXACTLY do you have to do to reset the vehicle???

Besides the obvious radio presets, windows, seat memory, etc.....

I have read over a vast amount of info here with both sides chimming in on what is necessary and what is folklore!!!!!

Do I have to:
1) recalibrate the steering wheel to find center
2) what about resetting the MDS???? true or false
4) throttle pedal calibration???
3) Anything else needed with a battery disconnect????

Also.....what is the correct procedure to perform these....

I feel this thread could be the one-stop place for those that need to do these things, rather than having to search through the clutter.....

Thanks, any help is appreciated...

Not sure of all procedures, but if you do a search here. I know people have listed the items and procedures somewhere on this forum.

It's pretty simple to do and there is a sticky for this sort of thing in the FAQ/Tech forum http://www.300cforums.com/forums/faq-tech-forum/. Here's the one for battery reconnect... http://www.300cforums.com/forums/6342-post1.html

Thanks guys!!!!

I have seen that post in the how-to's and others on procedures to be done.....but there seemed to be no order to them....my concern is what ALLl Exactly must be performed after a battery disconnect.....

going by your attachment Rambit.....all we need to do is a steering recalibration right?

Just wanted to know if there was a list of procedures....

thanks again for the replys!!!!
