The one thing I wonder, is I remember on the 08 magnum prototype, they were showing off a bladeless key system where you didn't have a keyblade, but you still had to shove the key into the dash.

IMHO that's lame. If you're going to go keyless you might as well go all the way, is that even going to be an option for the new 300s? Or are we going to still be stuck with the circa 1998 neon key? :\

Chrysler.com site there is a link asking you what you would like to see in the 2008 car. If you click on that it takes you into a build sequence and the colours are there.

The order has gone in for my 2008 300 and I should receive it mid August.
Living in Southern Ontario they have a special event planned at the plant where the sales managers get to visit the plant for a sales meeting and a look around the assembly line and they get to bring an ordered car back with them. Hence I save the delivery costs on my new car.
I knew there was a reason that the sales manager is a personal friend of mine.
Geoff

Bladeless key is not a bad idea. If it is like the Mercedes infrared Smart Key system used since 1998. Much better security. That would be standard and Keyless Go with push button start would cost extra.

Re-skin of 300C in 2009 / 2010?

Being UK based I had a 300C CRD (diesel) ordered for delivery last year but had to cancel at the last minute due to personal circumstances and will not be able to re-order until probably late next year.

I am presently undecided as to whether to order the 2008 facelift model or wait just a few months more for the re-skin model apparently due in 2009 / 2010.

With most other auto manufacturers, spy shots of proposed new models tend to be released many months in advance of the proposed launch but with the Chrysler 300 models (other than Resume Speed's excellent info and the disguised spy shots of the iminent 2008 facelift model by KGP) there appears to be absolutely no info, sketches or pics whatsoever to give a clue as to whether the re-skin will resemble the current shape or be completely different.

I would not wish to order a new car when a completely different model shape would replace it within a few months as I tend to keep my cars for a number of years. I am therefore presently contemplating waiting until such time that some info trickles through on what is proposed for the re-skin model.

Anyone got any info as to whether the propsed re-skin will be a complete departure from the current design?

The stone white is no longer fleet only and I have ordered my 2008 in that colour.

That was an error and has since been corrected, it should have been only in the Charger listing.

Clearwater Blue Pearl:

Update: Post # 1 has been updated with some new 2008 information as well as the Base MSRP pricing.

Chryler will be introducing a proximity keyless entry/keyless go system on some of its 2009 models .
