No Mention of the Challenger yet?

Do you know if these new nav systems will be swappable with the older model cars?

Is it 2008 already? I think the 2008 model year will be the Mid Model Update aka "Facelift".

The CAN Bus is the cars electronic network. (True techheads correct me if I stray, I only stay at Holiday Inns) They, like your home computer, run a certain speed. The new radio requires the newer bus, which is faster at transferring data than ours. If you'll note, only new or newly reworked platforms, like the Caliber, Sebring, and Nitro get it this year. The LX wont get it til next year.

As I understand it the Challenger will not be on the "LX" platform so I have not included it on the LX list... however, I could certainly add it to the 2008 post under its own category. I don't have much "unreleased" Challenger info at this time but will have some "new" info before long, perhaps sometime in January.

No. The new radios are an all-new "4th generation" series from Chrysler and run off of a new updated CAN Interior bus system. That's not to say that someone in the future won't come up with a work-around but it could prove very difficult as you would have to convert the CAN signals. The new radios use dual 22-pin connectors plus a 10-pin connector, a lot more wiring options than the current "REC" radios.

Again, pardon my ignorance.... but why would this be a "non-starter" as an earlier poster suggested?

SRT design spare tire

I asked this before but it was a long time ago before anyone really knew how these cars were configured. I was wondering if anyone knows if the SRT design group will have a spare tire? The reason I ask is as we all know the SRT8 and the SRT design group both sport 20 inch wheels and I was just hoping that maybe, just maybe if the design group has a spare it might fit on the SRT8 (or at least the back wheels of an SRT8). Sorry to post a question I posted before but maybe there's more info available now.
