How to store wheels???

tis the time to switch out the 22's for the stockers........

what is the best way to store my aftermarket wheels and tires until the spring????

....should I lay them on their side and stack them up, lay them up against the wall individually, let the air out.......etc......

any help is appreciated, I should be doing this tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks

I have always in the past (when I lived in that type of climate) simply removed the summer set, gave it a good cleaning and stacked them on their side (if you have room, I would go 2 high per stack) with small cheap wash cloths rolled up and used as spacers for airflow between sidewalls. Keep them inflated.

If you deflate and put them 'upright' the tire could very well flat spot on you, especially if not moved for months on end.

when i stored my wheels for winter i would first give them a nice wash and then polish and wax them. id make a nice spot for them in the garage and i would stack them on top of each other, then put a cloth over the wheels so nothin would get to them. come spring time they were good to go and all i had to do was throw them on

You can stack 2 together, so there is not that much weight on the bottom one. Also put a piece of cardboard in between and on the floor. Cover them with a blanket. Your good untill next year.

Oh, and if you happen to be storing them in a basement, keep them a decent distance from furnaces or other 'appliances' that may tend to generate alot of heat or drying air.

Perfectly climate controlled, ultra low UV lighting, soft music, comforting voices piped in, and running water sounds for complete relaxation in the off season!
