Mopar Remote Start installed...with issues - Problem Found!!

Well, if it wasn't for crap luck, I don't think I'd have any luck at all. I bought the 2-way remote start from Adam C on a group buy (which went very well by the way). I called around to a few local shops to see if they had experience installing the Mopar remotes in a 300C, and what prices they wanted. The shop I chose said they had done several Mopar 2-way remotes, and had a decent price ($235 CDN). Since the dealership I go to is so lame at doing anything right the first time, I went with the local shop.
When I picked up the car today, the insaller says there were some lights on the dash coming on, and he didn't have the tool to clear them, but the remote starter is workng fine. I figured no big deal, I'll just pull fuse 11 & 17 when I get home, and the codes will clear, and everything will be good. WRONG!
I was able to clear the codes, and the lights no problem. If I use the key to start the car, no lights or codes. As soon as I use the remote starter to start the car, I get permanent lights, and 8 differnet codes. Here's the list:

Idiot Lights:

Engine Light on solid
ESP Light on solid
Traction Control Light (the little skid marks symbol) on solid.

EVIC Codes:

U110E
U110C
U0103
U0141
U1403
U1411
U110F
U1113

Most of the codes are not listed in the TSB section, but I did see one that says something like "lost communication with gear shift selector" if I recall correctly. Basically, the installer says he followed the instructions, and the remote starter does do everything it's supposed to do (start, stop, panic mode etc), so he doesn't know what else to do. He told me to take it to Chrysler to find out what's wrong. Which of course is exactly what I was trying to avoid doing.

I was just wondering if anyone here who has some experience with the 2-way remotes, might have some suggestions as to what the problem might be??? If I had a suggestion, I could check with the original installer to confirm what he did, or at least have something to point the Chrysler techs in the right direction.

Basically, I'm quite pissed about this. I've had several remote starts installed on other cars/trucks over the last 15 years, and every one of them was flawless. So I try to find the best people to do the work so I can avoid the dealership, and I will probably end up there anyway. ARGH!

Yes I am in the same boat but I had a Viper Alarm/Remote Start installed. Everything works fine but the damn dash lights are on when remote started.

Someone out there should know how to get around this please help.

TIA

Sorry you're having troubles. Here are a few threads that address remote start. They cover everything from installation, problems with installation and other issues. I don't know if any will help.....just trying to assist. Good luck!

Thanks srt8danno;
I actually did read most of those threads already before posting. Your searching skills are still better than mine though, as you found a couple I didn't! Unfortunately, there was no help to be found there.
If anyone else has ANY suggestions, I'm willing to listen!!!

Check the ground. My brother in law had a similar problem with his mopar remote start. He has getting tons of codes. It turned out the lug snapped and became unground. It's worth a quick check.

You’re more than welcome. Sorry it didn’t turn up the “answer” to your problem. I’m afraid you may have to take it in to the dealership unless another answer appears.
Good luck and be sure to let us know what happens for future references.

300Mag - That's a good suggestion, check the ground. I will make sure that is on the list when I bring her into the dealership.

For sure I will update once I have a chance to take the car in for diagnosis. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions so far, and wish me luck with the dealership (I just know this is going to be an ordeal) !!
