As Rambit said, it needs to be ResumeSpeed who can somehow gather this firsthand information we are all so dying to know! He has 'secret' contacts that we don't even know about and that is how he has been able to post up the latest of the greatest all these years before anyone else, including all those online magazines!

Besides the excuses of the slow economy, buyouts, bailouts, etc. I have no idea why Chrysler has been so slow in putting forth information that's going to already be old news by the time it's officially announced.

RS, I know you're reading this! Get on it!

Merger and acquisition talks, layoffs and downsizing, and internal reorganizations is an awhile environment to live/work in. It is no surprise that Chrysler is slow. I just hope they continue the original course of making a major refresh in 2010.

I believe all of them have it because of its durability for handling large amounts of torque, and certainly durabilitiy is a strong point for it. It's important to note that the transmissions in those cars have COMPLETELY different programming. The programming is the big problem here. Are you saying you are completely satisfied with the STOCK performance of the transmission that came with your SRT8? I obviously am not.

It seems like the base "LX" model is now off the 2009 MY lineup. The base model is now called the Touring and it starts over $27,000 and you still don't get ABS and the 3.5L. What a difference from 2004 when the Touring was a fairly well featured car for that money.

yeah, drastic times call for drastic measures... prolly one of the cuts they had to make from bankruptcy filing... i'm just happy they are still making cars at all i guess... hoping word on the 6.4L replacing the 6.1 come true, and i'll purchase my first srt8 for sure...

I hope they come through with the 6.4L SRT8 too. By 2012 I'm sure I will be ready to replace my current SRT8. I may actually be ready for a new car before the 2012 SRT models are available. I like the CTS-V powertrain, but I'm not too crazy about it's styling.
