Standard Features>

I believe Chrysler should make the following features STANDARD.

#1 Fog Lamps
#2 Steering wheel controls
#3
a harness that allows swapping of NAVIGATION RADIO'S with the regular RADIO

I bought a 2006 Limited Edition at a STEAL of a DEAL and I spent $250 installing Fog Lamps and was shocked to find out I couldn't add the steering wheel with controls on it.

Most people who buy a 2.7 want a sensible car - rather than the Hemi guzzler.

My friend got a 5.7 and that damn thing used gas like you wouldn't believe back when gas was $2.87 for Middle grade. Now that gas is $3.80 I want no part of the Hemi unless I was using it to race people for money. And if that was the case, I'd get the 6.1 rather than the 5.7.

well, the reason most ppl get the 5.7 is because they do want to save on gas somewhat, and they still want the power of the Hemi when needed. tests have shown that if your friend would lay off the gas a little and drive sensibly sometimes, especially on the highway, the Hemi does 22-24mpg and so does the V6 models... that's what i got when i did my daily commute, and it would only drop down to 18 or 19mpg when i took it out and raced with ppl, but these are in stock settings...

if i use superchips to change to performance settings, then i undoubtedly get 10-12mpg without even trying... but, that's because the shift points are more agressive and you are always at a higher rpm level...

the problem i have with the V6's is that chrysler failed in many reliability tests with the V6 models because they were skimpy on costs when it came to them to get the prices down. so, i thought i was getting more bang (pun intended) for my buck with the Hemi 5.7, and i would not have been able to afford a 6.1 as a daily rider.

now, to deal with the gas hike, i have a civic hybrid (42-48mpg) and i put princess in the garage and only bring her out a couple times a week... i really treat her more like royalty now... heh... so, i don't have to compromise the way i drive her anymore. i still love my 5.7, and i don't regret a thing about it.

i will be in the market for a 6.4 challenger if they make one for 2010 as rumored.... we'll see what happens though...

So is it still looking like 2010 for the 6.4 500hp motor? Chrysler will be behind the STS-V's and Camaros coming out...

jaybo the sts-v is rated at 469 not 500 and the camaro ss is going to be rated at 505hp and both of those cars are in different class of vehicle ones a true luxury sports sedan and the other is a sports coupe neither are a near luxury sports sedan the only real thing to compare srt8s in 2010 will be the pontiac G8 LS2 which comes out in 2011 with 505hp not the gxp that come out on 2009 with 425-430hp

from articles i read, there is supposed to be a 6.4L 500hp challenger 2010 model to be released mid to late 2009. that would be the camaro and cts-v (not sts-v) rival.

the sts-v is our rival, pontiac g8, and even the buick lucerne... (true sedans)

that don't mean we don't like racing coupes that we have no business smokin...

i think i kinda understand were jaybo is coming from, because when the SRT8s came out with 425hp, we were head and shoulders above things in AND out of our class. the 6.1L hemi was just coming out swinging at everything out there. More HP than mustangs, than TrailblazerSSs, than base model Corvettes, M3s, etc. now people are expecting that again, but the HP wars have been heating up for a while now (inexplicably) and its going to be a lot harder to come out and trump some of these numbers. just look at the CTS-V, which previously had 400 HP, is now coming to the plate with 500+. which means SRT needs to step up to 500++, and also now meet CAFE and all that bull****. this time around, unless some really trick stuff or forced induction goes on, SRTs are going to match what else is out there, not trump it.

He probably meant the CTS-V, which is in the same class and will have at least 550HP. That number is straight from GM.

new sts-v is going to be an animal, however it chould have a bit more aggressive look.

i personally gave up on the idea of CTS. it is just too small for a tall guy. i guess it is just the matter of getting used, but i am not going to be in this league if can. sts is the thing to go after. or 300c!

Ok. I think we can all agree that if the CTS-V has 550HP, then STS-V will have at least that much. That's just how it works. The M5 always has more than the M3 and the E63 always has more than the C63.
