Accuracy of Projected Shipping Date??

My 2007 300C with SRT Design Group now has a VIN, and is in order status D1 with an estimated ship date of February 15. For those in the know, how accurate is the estimated ship date?

Probably pretty decent. Here, I'll give ya the list of what happened with our car and when:

2/2/06: Scheduled for build
2/11/06: Built - Pending inspection (I)
2/13/06: At Facility
2/13/06: Truck Dispatch
2/14/06: Loaded on Railcar
2/23/06: Unloaded from Railcar
2/23/06: Released to dealer
2/23/06: we picked it up and had it in the driveway

Once it's in D1 it's usually a pretty accurate date; now the next "black hole" you have to navigate through is the actual rail shipping itself. Once it's on a train it's out of EVERYONE's control!

Mine was within 5 days of the est date. It had to come from Canada through Buffalo NY. So depending on where your at in the country may affect the timing.

I concur with the rest. Getting to D1 was always the hardest part. Once you hit that it usually just moves right on through. Congratulations! Hope to see some pics of this bad boy when you get it!

Make sure to push your dealer for a railcar number, track it via the railway's site (isn't it us pacific?) and then the minute it arrives, haggle them until they go to pick it up

That's what I did hehe.

Ship date is now shown as 2/16. If you are in D1, you should have your VIN number now. My dealer is going to check for me tommorrow.

Yea, I've got my VIN. It was assigned at D.

So looks like we're in a race to the finish. :-)
