Trouble Code ?

Sorry if this has been covered before but I am new to the forum. I'm getting a troble message on the dash that says " REK Batt Low" does anyone know what this means? The car starts and runs fine and it is charging at 14.2 volts. Thanks.

The battery in your key is low.

that's the key fob battery is low, you'll have to get the dealer to change the battery

The dealer? I would take a small screwdriver or a coin with me to RadioShack. Pop it open right on the counter there. Grab the right battery, pay for it, pop it in, and leave. Around here anyway, its well worth $4 or $5 not to have to go to the dealership.

Welcome to the forums Kevin!

Here is a thread that explains the whole process including what battery it takes to replace it with. Good luck!

Just let that bitterness go Ultimate…..like water off a ducks back….just let if flow away. Either that or let's go beat the crap out of them. Just tell me the address and I'm there!
