I would just incase they decide to look there. Just out of curiousity, where is the chip installed.. I'm debating on getting one for my V6.

Thats a great question. I went in one time with mine on and another with it off. I heard no grief from the service writer. Plus the mechanics are like machines, they won't look at something unless the services writer puts it on the paper. However, I would play it safe and take it off. You definitely don't want to give them a reason...

I'd take it out. While they probably cannot claim that is what caused your current problem, they might note its existence on your work order or in their database. Then what if you have a transmission failure for example; while it may be complete B.S. , they theoretically "could" claim that the increased power put undue stress on the transmission - - and then it's up to you to fight them. Just like with the I.R.S., in my opinion it is best to attract as little attention to yourself as possible.

I also wonder (not sure on this one) if something could get messed up if they tried to flash your computer with any updates. I know this is definitely the case with the flashpaq - - maybe with the Jet Chip it would not do anything to the chip itself but it could prevent a flash from working properly. (??)

First, they claims 21hp gains by tuning the car to run on 93+ octane instead of the factory setting of 91 . Second, they claim that it increases the tranny fluid line pressure to firm up shifts. 21hp maybe a little exaggerated. However, it definitely firmed up my shifts thru the gears.

If you dont have a srt8 go with the superchip tuner. There is way more you can do with it over the jetchip.
