Came home from the car wash this evening and found..................

A crack in my front fascia that's about a foot long on the passenger side. I have no idea what might have caused it. All I know is that I need to replace it ASAP. I guess this is a blessing in disguise because I've been wanting to replace it with the SRT8 front fascia. Has this happened to anyone else?? I'm going to call my dealer and see how much they'll charge me for the new fascia and install. Anyone know of a good body shop here in IL??

Sorry to hear of your misfortune!!! Like you said, it may be a 'blessing in disquise'; although, I didn't think blessings cost that much. hehe j/k

Again, sorry to hear about the crack. G'luck.

= not certain it was the car wash. Could have been anything.

Just curious though CSand78, why do you need a body shop? Are you going to try and repair it? or just buy a new SRT8 facia (if the price is justifiable)?

Yeah, the car wash is strickly for the lazy amounst us (no offense) bad, bad, idea.

I have NEVER taken a car i OWN to a car wash....HELL NO!!!!!

Its an endeavor of inevitability, sooner or later, EVERYONE will find damage sonewhere on their car. Have you checked your wheels of late? bet there's some damage on them as well, especially if you are a car wash regular?

Sorry about this...hard lesson learned

I just want to clarify that the car wash I use is a hand car wash. That's the only car wash I've used with all my cars, so I don't think that would be the cause. I'm not even sure how long that crack's been there. Chances are I'm looking at about $500 minimum in parts and labor to get a new front fascia. I'd really like to get the SRT8 front fascia installed. I'm guessing that the SRT8 fascia should be a suitable replacement instead of the Stock 300C fascia. Has anyone here replaced their Stock front fascia with the SRT8 one???

You're in Oakbrook?

Heck, I'm at work in Lombard right now, with my SRT8. I know a great body shop out in Geneva that painted and installed my rear bumper for around $220. The front might be a little higher in price. If you want to check out their work I'll be here all day. Otherwise drop me a PM and I'll give you their number.

VVV,

Where do you work in Lombard? My office is at 22nd & Highland. Although I rarely go to the office.
