I can tell you after working many years for Fire Rescue in a big city seatbelts save lives, especially when going over the posted speedlimit as most car enthusiasts like ourselves often do. Whereas, there are a few instances where the seatbelt might of made it worse by staying in the vehicle, it usually means the difference between a hospital visit or us using a shovel at the scene. Food for thought!

This is the best advice yet!
I am going down to the garage to try this out on my Viper and SRT8!

I always wear my sealbelt also....except when I am in a car park or something like that and then the beeps get annoying. I didn't even think to look at the manual or ask how to turn this off...thanks for asking the question Chip :-)

If you are the sort who doesn't put it on before hitting the road, I'd warn ya to be really careful when you get out of your driveway, it's not uncommon for people to get hit backing out/leaving their driveways.

WTF are these lawyers thinking?

I don't even start my engine until I've fastened my seatbelt. They have saved me twice in my 47 years of driving.
