The dealer did it for me when he was driving the car out from the show room.
I suggest that you go visit the dealer, or wait for someone with enough knowledge to chime inn.

i believe you turn your key to ACC and then just insert and release the seatbelt 3 times in a row. then turn off the car. i believe that's how you shut it off.

Why not just wear it????? Seems insane not to use something that is put there to save your life in the event of an accident. Anyway best of luck.

i'm and advocate of wearing it and do all the time. there are a few times where i have to have it off (sitting at the bank drive through, backing the car in the garage, etc), and the chime does get annoying. i've disabled mine using the below thread:

Disable seat belt chime (Threads Merged)

i turned it off 'cause i back into my driveway and it's usually a 5-10min process with me looking back frequently. i also like putting on my seatbelt after i move off, just habit i guess.

I am on the fence when it comes to seat belts, My Uncle was hit head on when I was about 8 by a Drunk Driver, the seat belt was the cause of his death, internal damage, that is not to say that if it was off that he would have not died from flying out of the car... the Ding is annoying for sure

THANK YOU! The only time I don't wear my seat belt would be coming down my street or residential neighborhoods. Thanks again.
