Here are a couple of threads that mention a clunking sound. Don’t know if this helps. Let us know what they find out. Good luck Bert!

Just got off the phone with the dealer and they said my motor mount had to be replaced.
Im a lil confused cause I thought the motor mount was in the front and the sound is coming from the rear.

Does it occur all the time?
Mine does it once or twice a day when I accelerate hard.

Have you checked your spare tire well to make sure everything's nice and tight? Could be a loose differential mount or something maybe? Suspension in the rear clunking when the car moves the weight to the rear wheels? HRMM!

No, its not the spare, the sound is from the exhaust tip area and its not that, but they said they found the problem, so we will have to wait and see when I pick the car up on Sat.

Let us know if the motor mount fixes the problem.
Did it start with an occasional noise to an all the time when you exceed 3000rpms?

Yes it did start off light and got worse.
Only if I hit the gas hard I hear it, so I guess its the weight of the car pushing towards the back doing it.
I will let you know if its fixed when I pick up my car tomorrow.
