quickest way to find out i believe is to go turn your stereo on... and feel on the rear seat shelf... in the middle... slightly to the left... and feel if you have a woofer back there... you should feel the air coming from the woofer... not the 6x9's on either side... pretty sure the 6 speaker system doesnt have the factory subwoofer... and also put your hand over the center channel speaker and feel for air with the stereo up

If you purchased your car used and aren't sure if it has the premium sound system, call your dealer and give them your VIN. They should be able to tell you what options came with your car. If you have navigation, you more than likely have the BA 368 watt system w/ sub because they usually come packaged together. At least it was that way for 2006 models. That system is called Sound Group II.

The 6 speaker system doesn't have a sub either. You can check underneath
the carpet trim panel under the rear deck as well. A lot of members removed
it permanently due to rattling. You'll see the sub there.

Thanks guys, good info. Im gonna check in the morning. I always assumed the Nav had the better sound system, but it IS a 2005, so its quite possibly the less better one.

Thanks dudes.

Are you asking because you are not happy with the sound from what you assumed was the better system? Because if you do find that you have the 8 speaker system with the Subwoofer in the rear deck, you can make it sound 10 times better by disconnecting the speaker in the center of the dash. I have the 8 speaker system and it was "ok" but after getting rid of that center speaker it sounds fantastic. Did the same to my Dad's SRT8 with the Kicker system and it made a world of difference on his car too.

The grill for that speaker has 4 "Legs" the protrude downward about an inch or so. To remove it take a credit card or something similar that won't damage your padded dash, and slide it between the speaker grill and the dash. Start working your way around the grill and you'll feel the card hit one of those "legs". Push inward (toward the center of the speaker) with the credit card and that leg will release - - continue working around till you release the other 3 legs and the grill will come out. Now you can remove 2 screws and and lift the speaker up and unplug it. I left my speaker there so there wasn't a big hole under that grill. You will be amazed how much better it sounds.

If you already knew all this then sorry, never mind
