Computer that work with SRT8

Hi all, does any one know what car computer works with 300C SRT8?
I looked at HyperPac and MSN Dashhawk and in the supported cars I just see 300C 5.7, but I can find the Charger SRT8 and not the 300C SRT8.
I think that Charger SRT8 and 300C SRT8 are the same car structure, computer, eletronics, does any one know a cheaper computer, USD300+-, that will work correctly with 300C SRT8 6.1 2006? Preferred one that can clear DTC codes.

Thank you!

Rodrigo.

Virtually all of them work. They just need to be OBDII compliant - which they all are. Pricing from $150 up. I've had one for 2 years already.

The 300C SRT-8 and Magnum SRT-8 and Charger SRT-8 are virtually identical for anything you're likely to need. The drivetrain itself is identical.

Yep, I can vouch for the Dashhawk, I got lucky and bought mine used (barely) from a Charger owner who was buying a Jeep that isnt CANbus, BTW, Matt, just to be picky, its not just OBDII, but has to CANbus as well. To read the data, not just DTCs, of course. Of course, since ALL LXs are CANbus, we're good.

Havent had to do any DTC stuff with the DH yet, but its been flawless in all other regards. Also, another selling point is that Ken MOsher, the guy at MSD who programs they DHs, is actively involved, seeking input and making changes as we go.

Community asked for trans temps readouts, he got'em. Unless you need programing, DH is about the least information for the money, in an easy to use package. Much less cumbersome than any laptop solution.

Excuse my ignorace on these units but do they just read engine codes? Or can you do some reprogramming of the engine map. What would be the benefits of owning one of these units. Thanks

No programmers exist for us.

These devices read error codes, clear them, and use the CANbus/OBDII system to provide a lot of other data. Everything from gas mileage, trip odometers, intake temps, throttle position, ignition advance, rpm, speed, etc. The better units can then do things like give you 0-60 times....

I'd buy a Dash Hawk personally. It wasn't available when I first bought though.

Nobody really has any capability to tune any engine parameters yet, although theres always at least one group or person saying there is something close. Been that way for two years now

The benefit (in addition to reading and erasing codes), for me anyway, is to more fully understand what my car is doing, how it responds to different things. Already, Ive noticed the once heatsoaked, the intake temp sensor takes forever to come back down to ambient. But, if you can get moving before it gets soaked, and not spend an iordinate of time stopped, like a drive through window, then it takes a while for it to get soaked.

Next up will be to datalog shift behavior and timing behavior in both Auto and Drive mode, and the different ESP modes to quantify how the cars computers react to different conditions. With that knowledge, I can then plan how best to to make changes that will optimize my cars peformance under differing conditions.

Goal is be just as fast everyday as I would be in cold temps, not heatsoaked, at the track. Not achivable, but you want to go in that direction.

Another goal, if MSD can get me the sensor data, is to log yaw sensor data and steering angle data, to see how ESP operates in its different modes.
