Talking 24's on my SRT!_Start2Finish! 20+ PICS!_If ur undecided u MUST SEE!_?'s answered_WOW!

Well everybody since i put a lot of time, thought and research into whether i should get 24's, i thought i would make an all in one post. This to show my experience for those who are thinking about going this route and those with false misconceptions about 24's from FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE!!!

Sorry i didn't post yesterday. Yesterday was a crazy/hectic day! Went to the tire store, all four TPM's switched to the 24's and rims/tired balanced, then drove to the valley with the rear 24's on(haha) and one in the trunk for the modifications needed.

Went to my buddy Israel aka Topmotorsports shop for the work needed. He's definitely the go to guy who not only does his own work and puts his friends on 24's but has gotten 25,000+ miles from his 24's and is just now rotating! Refer to the man for technical questions as i did.....Sorry bud had to do it.

Israel is smarter than the average mechanic, he not only shaves the bolt down, but he takes the nut off, applies lock-tight, impacts the nut back into place thus revealing 1'2 more threads on the bolt...THEN he shave down the bolt. A+ job!!! My bolt actually stick down more than normal due to the install from repair work from my minor suspension accident last year.

Next he rolled the fender...just on the front for now. Heat gun and then his special maching and he fenders came out oh soo nicely! He even took off my rear chrysler emblem in preparation for the Billet Technology emblems that will be in the mail next week!

Back off to Lancaster.....SCARY......middle and i'm in the slow lane of the freeway by an offramp when somebody ahead slams the brakes which created hard braking through the line of cars. I always leave distance but i slowed down pretty quick when i a red mustang 2 cars back SWERVE out of the slow lane to the middle and starts SPINNING. I was like OMFG and i watch in my rearview as it looks like he's coming closer and gonna hit me so i hit the gas. I watched the whole spin out and man that guy was lucky. Through all that traffic and didn't hit one person or damage his car. He stopped spinning perfectly in the shoulder lane. WHEW! You know his undies were SOAKED!!!

Back to the tire store.....wait another hour and get the front on.....Amazing is all i can say!

(Power after 24's).....my car hauls a$$! A barely noticeable difference in power lost. I litle slower off the line but past 2000 it roars and slams u back into the seat just like with stock 20's. "24's slow u down considerable"- MYTH

I will bring my car to thr track sometime soon with 24's and prove it to you all! Seriously though i feel more of the road and better grip, you just feel more power pushed to the ground ya know.

(Ride comfort) Honestly yes.... u can feel more of the road.....bumps are harder and i can hear a slight hum from the tires(typical pirelli) but these little things don't bother me a bit. Windows up and it's almost as smooth......well as smooth as u wanna even call the SRT suspension but not bad at all......very easy to live with as theres not much of a change.

(Wear & Tear, Gas MPG) For the wear/tear...time will tell, my buddy Israel like i said has had no problems nor have any of his friends, No blowouts, No dented rims, and NO scraping...and YES to potholes lol. His advice to me was "if you cn't avoid it go slow and directly through it, because the protection is in the middle of the tire, not the sidewall if u were to go half and half of ur tire in a pothole" that's golden advice right there

(Cosmetics...THE LOOK)The most important aspect to many of you. All is a matter of personal preference but to ME. I LOVE the car my ride looks now. The ride height increase of a 1/2 inch bothers many but to me.....if i want it lower I CAN DO IT! Just with ur basic lowering kit/ KW's.

The rims line up perfectly with the wheel well(not to bash u 22'ers but a much better looking match). The rims diameter is just at home with the wheel well. The tires are small but aggressive and the rims I picked out look soo NICE and were a match made in heaven to my car and what direction i want to go in IMO which is ALL THAT MATTERS!!!

(Public EYE....LOOKERS) OMG people here are going crazy! Every stoplight people rubberneck, girls stare while with their boyfriends, old guys compliment, people wanna talk to me, wannabe cool guys trying to not let u see them staring, "how much were those", "could u fit a big enough rim on there", "that's a pretty car, nice wheels too", "sick ride", "what kinda car is that" "how big are those rims" x20, and everything in between. All positive opinions and i'm lovin it to see that people from all differenct walks of life and cultures have this urge to tell me how nice my car is.....more so after i got my 24's. I'm sure the 22's get compliments but not this many. These were all today in a hour of running errands + the convos about my car haha. To my knowledge i'm the 2nd lx in my city with a population of 600,000 rollin on 24's. A matter of fact the other guy has a black SRT and really nasty (IMO) looking rims that SCRATCHED his calipers due to his lack of prior research before just slappin on some 24's

*BONUS* Makes me smile to see MY car able to burn out on 24 inch rims! What other car truck have u seen do that effortlessly? I've never seen it!!!

Well all opinions are welcome good or bad, as u can see from my last post i did a lot of defending myself but i feel this thread speaks for itself. I'm sure some of u old timers will come on with personal attacks.....because my taste in rims.....whatever.

Hope u all enjoy the pics and let this thread help u decide to do DEEP or NOT. I'm not looking back!!! -Paul

Let the show began!!! Pics all taken on a verizon 2 megapixel cell phone!
Videos of my SRT drag racing a stock SRT to follow soon!!!

Start to Finish!!!

The look on the way to LA- 70 miles lol....ever seen such a thing? haha

The MAN Israel aka "TopMotorSports" on chargerforums doing his magic on my longer than normal bolts!

The MAN once again working his magic rolling the front fenders like a pro!

SWEET!!!

Ride height difference mine and my homie Carlos's aka "BRUTE SRT" stock height

PERFECT FIT WITH THE WHEEL WELL LINE... KW's....YAY or NAY?

Flush with the fenders 24x10 with +18 offset and 5x115 bolt pattern

Cleanly shaven and smooth bolt! Plenty of room....even for tire expansion!

Lovin the resemblance between the dropstar logo and the brembo logo!

What a human sees!

What a mouse sees!

What a mean stance!

Way to GO!
There aren't many SRT8's out there runnin 24"s! Your car looks great.

How is the ride and handling?

edit: I just looked at the pics at first.. I see now that you already commented on my question.
