Angry my car as furniture

ok get this, i just have to vent. the wife is pullin the afternoon shift at the DQ, and i get this as she is leavin "have fun cleanin your car" cause she knows the sun is out and some dust might have settled on my car over night so she knows i gonna clean it.

so i get all done with my detailing inside and out and am staring at the lawn mower thinkin thats not what i want to do i know ill go pick up the wife's car and take care of that one. I know she will love it (VW bug convertible, turbo tho ) so i drop my car off at the old dq, park up front by side window so she can see how clean it is, and take hers home, about 4 blocks.

finish hers, gas it up and go to return it. from about a block away iam like what the ***k is that guy doing by my car..... i get closer he is not by my car but ON my car, ok let me clarify hewas not quite sitting on the passenger rear fender but more than leaning on it, so lets call it resting on it, way more of his butt was on that quarter panel then i would even think of putting on my car . by the time i park the bug right next to the 300 this guy had taken his left arm and extended over onto the roof.

wifey saw me pull in she knows i am gonna freak out out on this guy, she tries to head me off with the a cell phone call, but i dont answer, rage has taken over. i proceede to approach this guy and strike up a conversation, i say "wow! nice ride!!! you sure take great care of it!!" he says "oh this car isnt mine" i say "i konw that its mine! what are you doing on it????" ok maybe should have prefaced this story with my description ... just under 6'2", 275 lbs, and ina tank top with multiple tattoos on display.

so this guy immediately gets up and starts appologizing, at this point i still pretty upset so i go inside the store, collect my thoughts and decide that i need to take the high ground, cause you really dont wanna be known as a d**k and operate a dairy queen, too much a part of the local community. i go out side and apologize to him for flying off the handle like that shake his hand and show him around my car. He can see that i am pretty pasionate about my car and blah blah blah. I was biting my tonuge the whole time, and just had to get home and post this sorry to who ever read this whole post but i feel better now. thanks oh and i gave him gift certificates for his next visit too, lol

Glad to hear you handled the situation with class. You would not want to spill some dumb a$$'s blood all over your clean ride.

i never quite understood the mentality of leaning against a car that isnt yours or someones you know. i dont even lean against my OWN car unless i REALLY dont want to stand anymore, and even then i make sure my jeans arent going to scratch anything. my friends more than know not to even bother.

what makes someone think that someones car is a public bench? why lean on someone elses car and not a wall, a tree, a garbage can, anything else. i have never, ever considered doing this. if its not mine, i leave it the hell alone.

nice to know you kept your cool relatively well, and didnt lose any DQ customers in the process. i could go for some ice cream right about now...

I had a guy sitting on the trunk of my 64 Mercury Comet when I was in high school. Our school was hosting a cross country meet so we all had our cars out there. I walked up and said "hey bro, nice car", he said "oh it's not mine" I said "I know you @#$%#!" and pulled him off by the shirt and punched him in the mouth. I probably would've goten kicked off the team, but a few weeks before that I got arrested at a meet for 3 counts of assault, so I was already thrown off it, hahaha. Good thing he didn't press charges cause I was still waiting on my court date for the previous arrest. The DA was a former Marine, so when I told him I had already joined he let me off with 10 hours community service (I ended up doing 12) Luckily my temper has cooled down some since then, but I know exactly how you felt.

Sorry to hear that chief, but thank goodness he wasn't wearing anything metal.

I know exactly where you’re coming from. I’m not usually a whacked out maniac, but when someone messes with my ride…..get the hell out of the way. Being 6’5” 280 people do stop and notice. Glad it all worked out as I really hate blood on my ice cream!

I guess that guy's dad slipped one of the dumb sperm past the goalie. I was walking to my car yesterday afternoon.....started opening my driver side door when all of a sudden WHACK! This idiot woman who just parked next to me opened her door so far that it hit my passenger side mirrow and bent it all the way in. Then she got out......didnt say a damn word......didnt fix my mirror.....and proceeded to walk into the store as if nothing had happened. It is a good thing I dont own a gun.
