EVIC Easter Egg Question

I had posted an earlier question regarding my 05 300c in regards to the EVIC egg not working anymore. I had previously been using it when one day it did not work but I still have the regular message center info with all the buttons still working. I went to my local dealer and told them about it and they responded that if isn't in the owners manual then it wouldn't be covered under the warranty. The guy really didn't know what I was talking about. I was wondering if anyone thought that If I could get this redone under warranty, how do I get that feature back, or try another dealership...

I thought the Easter Egg stuff ( music + compass) was considered the diagnostic mode of the system. I’m not surprised your dealership was ignorant of the diagnostic mode in the EVIC….but they SHOULD know it. I would try another dealership. Good luck!

Not sure how to get it back, but you could easily show them how to do it on one of the other cars on their lot.
