Just sittin' here waitin'...

...for my stuff.

So I just got back from 2 weeks in Hawaii (Thanks again to the Hawaii LX'ers and the Dodge Ikonz guys for the hospitality) and I'm all excited about my new mods. I ordered some stuff before I left and couldn't wait to get back because it was all supposed to be here when I got back. Some got here, some are on the way and another I have no idea about. Here's the list.

1. Chrome Viper Wheels w/ Toyo Proxie 4's - FedEx should be delivering tomorrow.
2. My headlights - I sent my headlights to AAC on the 6th for some maintenance (inside cleaning and new inverters) and told them to ship them by the 15th so they would be here when I got back. They didn't get them out til Monday the 20th and they won't be here until Friday, so no driving this week.
3. Leather Charger shift knob. Black w/ black stitching - Got it!
4. CoolIt mod - My CoolIt mod developed a problem and I contacted Joe before I left. He had a new one in the mail right away.
5. TZ Grille - Still waiting to hear from Tommy about this. I got a PM telling me I'm in on the Bro Buy (don't call it a GB) but haven't heard anything since.

So here I sit, holding my new knob, waiting for the rest of my stuff. If I had my headlights I could at least go get a wheel alignment done before the wheels get here but she just sits in the driveway looking sad.

Here's a pic of the new knob. After I did the wood dash kit, the billet one looked out of place. I didn't want to put the original one back on cause I didn't have any silver left in the car. Not bad for $18.

Okay, it's not much but it's better than nothing. I cut about 5/8" off of the shaft and put the new knob on. One down...

NICE MOD WITH THE SHIFTER!!! LOL I am glad to see that one being put to use!

Hey do you think the Charger Shifter like I use is too light? Same as yours... I was thinking about getting it darkened up some how?

One more thing... Is it me or do you take it way too easy with AAC? They seem to never do things when they say, lights go out all the time, and they dont ever ship on time. Why so lax with them?

I've never heard anything positive about AAC. I would never deal with that company.

I don't think I'm being lax at all. I've spoken to them almost daily for the past week and they know how PO'ed I am. I just choose to not express it on the forum. Now when I receive the headlights on Friday and they look like ass, that may be a different story.

They did the original installation so for the maintenance, I wanted/needed them to do that as well. I asked them to do something they normally don't do, clean the inside of the clear lens. They offered to do it for the price they charge to just open the housing. They also updated my inverters for free. Very fair. The cleaning took longer than expected and a pick-up got missed on Friday so the package went out Monday. Yes I'm upset that the lights are not here right now but a couple days is not going to kill me.

Unfortunately, if you want halos, there aren't many options out there. You yourself found out how difficult it is to take the housing apart. I didn't want to screw up my lights. Is AAC perfect? Absolutely not. But they have also never cheated me either. I got what I paided for and when I had issues, they took care of it.

PREACH BROTHA... NEVER ever ever heard someone say how amazing the customer service is. Funny part about it is if they did have good customer service, then people might not care so much that the product is crap.

The reason I didnt use them was the post you made about them before... I think you said that they were going to get tehm to u in like 3-5 days and ended up being 3 weeks or more. You are the reason I didnt get them, and I would be on the horn every day as well trying to get something done. Unfortunately the company is run with the opinion that one upset customer will not break the bank, and they dont do the right thing in my eyes.

I am happy I didnt use them, I almost almost did... It was close. I made the right choice and I hope others do too.
