1971 R/T |Challenger Convertible

Would anyone Know the Approx. Value for this car in rough shape. my best friend has one and he wants to sell it but he's leary about selling to me. He said its worth about 5000.00 canadian the way it sits. I did some research and dodge made about 300 or so of this model with a 383 4 speed. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean by rough shape, but assuming there is enough of the original car to rebuild without totally replacing it, $5K canadian would be a steal for that car. On the other hand, if by rough shape you mean he only has the gas cap left and everything else rustred out from underneath it, take a pass on the deal.

The car has sat in his barn for a few years now. He bought it from the second owner and had intended to fix it up but new wife and new baby girl and new house has left him a little shy of funds. The car is a middle of the road green and is showing some age. If I had to guess the car is about 75% intact. The roof is worn and the body is fairly rotted and the interior is so so.
