WOW!! Fantastic! What a mod!
For the high performance group, I wonder how much weight difference can be attributed to this mod?

I never even thought about it. I didn't get a chance to pick up the parts before they were installed. The second skin is just normal body part sheet metal thickness, if not a little thinner. The glass looks to be two layers of glass with a plastic and vaporized metal inner layer.

You lose:
  • factory sunroof, motor, and sliding mechanism
  • a bit ole' honkin' piece of steel
You gain:
  • a big ole' honkin' piece of steel
  • a big ole' honkin' piece of glass
  • a bunch of epoxy glue
  • [headroom and pimpstyle ]
The steel is probably a wash, and the headliner is just about weightless either way. So logic tells me that the gain is the difference between the factory sunroof assembly and the glass. I can't imagine that it's that much.

It is really beautiful but a bit too pricey for me. More power to you, though.

Considering for the same money I could buy a supercharger for my bike, or a rack and pinion steering for my truck, it's a pretty steep price for sure.

But if you are a tall guy like me, its worth every single penny.

And even for non-tall guys, it really opens up our cramped interior. Without the gunslot windows, the 300 would lose its style, but the Glassback is a way to get back some of what you give up for that high beltline/chopped top look.

Dude, that looks SICK!!! Im loving it...

Its on my list of "TO DO's" now but somewhere at the very end as its pricey and strictly cosmetic for me. Im just under 6'0 so the interior is perfect for me the way it is....
